TGDA selected for Design of MWRD’s Thornton Reservoir Visitor Center

Terry Guen Design Associates, as part of a team with Black & Veatch and Primera Engineering, was selected for the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago: Thornton Composite Reservoir.

Thornton Quarry is one of the largest aggregate quarries in the world, located near Thornton, Illinois just south of Chicago. W The quarry is 1.5 miles (2.5 km) long, 0.5 miles (1 km) wide, and 400 feet (125 m) deep. TGDA will focus on landscape architecture, ecological site planning and design, of the 100 acre site and proposed visitor center.
