Thank you for attending Building an Accessible Metropolitan Chicago on Nov. 18, 2015. More than 40 designers listened as Joe Russo, Deputy Commissioner of Compliance for the City of Chicago's Mayor's Office for People with Disabilities (MOPD) presented the process and highlights of the recent code revision and leading designers discussed how ADA standards are integrated into their projects.
TGDA is proud to announce the launch of our new website. Our website was redesigned to reflect our company philosophy “Design for Life”, and includes select projects, which explain the social, economic, and environmental benefits of Landscape Architecture for our greater communities. Check back for the unveiling!
TGDA is excited to announce that the new design for the landscape surrounding the recently built University of Chicago’s residence and dining halls will be completed in Summer 2016. TGDA worked with Studio Gang Architects to create a healthy, vibrant landscape that integrates the larger community with campus life and provides social amenities for students, such as ample outdoor seating and larger gathering spaces. TGDA is proud of all the dedication and effort that contributed to the recent completion of Maggie Daley Park. Plant installation just concluded in Fall 2015 and the whole park is now accessible to residents and visitors. Working as part of a team with Michael Van Valkenburgh and Associates on this 26 acre park allowed TGDA to refine its skills and expertise in building dynamic landscapes, which we will continue to apply on all future projects.
