TGDA PART OF WINNING TEAM FOR INTERNATIONAL DESIGN COMPETITION IN CHONGQING, CHINA

In collaboration with NewGround Engineering, Shenzhen, China and MS Consultants, Ohio USA, Terry Guen Design Associates won the International Sponge City Green Infrastructure Design Competition for Overseas Chinese Town (OCT) Chongqing, China. TGDA developed the winning “LGI” Landscape Green Infrastructure response, using functional restored landscape to bind OCT’s site master plan with innovative stormwater engineering models developed by NewGround and MS Consultants. “Sponge” urban landscape is designed to mitigate flooding challenges while providing the community public open space assets. Chongqing OCT is located in Liangjiang new district, along the Jialing River. The site of approximately 4 square kilometers includes three phases of mixed residential development within a collection of cultural, entertainment and ecological features.
